The fact that the public can now access Large Language Models (LLM) almost as easily as accessing a search engine is a huge leap forward in terms of how we access information. Just like when search engines first gave the public large scale access to information, as simple as the technology seems on the surface, there is a certain skillset associated with skillful use of these tools. For example, almost anyone can perform a Google search, but if you don't know your topic very well then you'll get very general results that only kind of answer your question. However, if you know you topic well, you can tailor your search with specific keywords that get much better results. The same is true of AI. Once we get past the novelty of being able to chat with a bot in plain language, then it becomes apparent that the results have a more general leaning to them even to the point that your eye learns to spot AI generated content. Just like with a good search, more robust knowledge in your area of inquiry will help you craft better questions which will allow the LLM to provide more robust and targeted responses.
In terms of health and wellness education, we provide fundamental information about how to take care of your health with nutrition, exercise and other habits, that way you are better equipped not only to take better care of yourself but also to ask better questions and also be a more critical consumer of information in general. The way that we incorporate AI into our courses is through the use of engineered AI prompts. An engineered prompt provides parameters for both the user and the AI. Our prompts exist in the form of detailed questionnaires that you fill in and then all you do is copy/paste the completed form into the LLM of your choice. The format allows you to fully articulate the details needed to allow the AI to provide a personalized suggestion. There's definitely a bit of an art to it, but over time you'll learn how to craft your own prompts for different health goals or modify the ones that we provide in our programs and training programs where they are included. This may even carry over to your skills with AI too, if you can master how to ask pointed highly specific questions with set parameters and boundaries, you'll not only be equipped for current LLMs but also those that are more sophisticated that will be released in the future.
Our prompts work with all of the major LLMs like ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Qwen, Meta AI, and Google Gemini. It's also recommended that you enable the thought/reasoning features if they are available on the model you use because it tends to yield better results.
